From emails and Excel to a custom CRM

Skupina ELYN is an energy company from České Budějovice that supplies electricity and gas to households and businesses. In addition to energy supply, they offer installations of photovoltaics, heat pumps, and charging stations. Their philosophy is maximum simplicity and online access to all services.
ELYN needed a complete digital transformation. The original website was outdated and wasn't fulfilling its purpose — it lacked a savings calculator, integration with internal systems, and conversion optimization.
"Online contracting" existed only formally — a few static products without the ability to dynamically calculate prices based on actual customer consumption. Protocols, automatic document generation, and electronic signing were missing.
Internally, everything was handled manually. Sales reps created price quotes in Excel, copied data, calculated prices. Contracts were printed, signed, and scanned. No unified system for managing customers, contracts, and price lists existed.
We promised to launch the new website in 3.5 weeks — and we delivered. Immediately after, we started building an ecosystem of three connected systems.
The goal was to create a complete digital infrastructure that connects public presentation with internal processes. Customers can handle everything online, sales reps have tools for efficient work, and management has an overview of everything in one place.

The customer fills out the calculator on the website and the system automatically calculates prices based on entered values. If satisfied, they can complete the contract themselves in 5 minutes via online contracting and switch to ELYN. No calling, no waiting, no paperwork.
On the other side, sales reps and call center can easily generate price quotes in the CRM based on entered data and send them to customers. The CRM built on Laravel (PHP) covers the complete company agenda — from customer management through automatic quote generation to recording all contracts.
From the website brief, a long-term partnership emerged. We continue to develop the system to this day and communicate through a dedicated Slack channel.
Importantly, the customer has no vendor lock-in with us. Everything we use is open source — Laravel, Next.js, MySQL. The client has full control over their code and data.
